Impressed by Palin

I am watching the RNC today and I have to say that I am very impressed. The speakers have been good, but I have been most impressed by Palin. I have been looking forward to hearing her speech tonight because I honestly do not know a lot about her, other then the trash that has been on TV and the small articles putting down her experiences. I wanted to hear her speak for myself so that I could form my own opinion.

Well here is my opinion… I am really impressed. Governor Palin cames across as smart, funny and very personable. I could relate to the things she spoke about. To me, that is important. I don’t need to want to have a beer with my President. I need them to be a strong leader not only in the U.S., but also on the World stage. I want to have leaders I can be proud of. There is a reason that Palin has the highest approval rate of any Governor in the country. She’s proven that she is a capable leader. I believe that even her detractors had to have been somewhat impressed tonight. Maybe she even persuaded some enough to vote differently. If not, I home that voters will give her the respect I think that she has earned. I’m looking forward to how she does in the debates. I think she can hold her own.

The Democrats made a mistake in not going after the Republicans last week. The Republicans did what they did best and they took shot after shot at the Democrats. It was a smart decision not to announce Palin until the DNC as that kept the Dems from getting a chance to take some jabs. On the other hand, the Dems really don’t do that. It’s why they lose.

I added a new link on my site today for the Campaign for America. Please take a minute to read about this PAC led by Ron Paul. If you really want change in America, this is a real start.
