Getaway

Today I have decided to lay off politics and just write about something I enjoy. TV. I grew up watching TV and playing video games. I still do both. My wife doesn’t really understand the video games. “When are you going to grow up?” she says. Well, I have no plans to give up video games. Every guy I know my age plays them. We are THE generation of video games. I don’t play online, she should be happy about that.

There are some great escapist shows on TV that I truly enjoy. First, is Chuck. I am watching it as I write this. Great show. Funny, good action, Yvonne Strahovski… cannot get enough of her. True Blood is another great show. Each episode gets better and better. Good story, sex, violence, vampires, boobies. Good stuff. If you have HBO, check it out. Heroes is another show that I really enjoy. i’ve been a bit disappointed this season so far. I had great hope for this season, but there is way too much going on right now. I hope this show doesn’t go the way of Lost. Lost was a great show, but I don’t think the writers were prepared for it to go a full season. Last season it turned around, so I hope they can keep on the good path. Ooh, Yvonne is on the screen.

Well, gotta run. Unable to focus well all day today. Tomorrow FedEx should be here with my new PC. About damn time I get a new one.

New Game

For the past couple of days since I have gotten my XBox 360, most of my spare time has been taken up by a great game called Fable II.  Now, if you did not like the first game, I would not buy the 2nd.  They are pretty much the same game, with some upgrades of course, but if you did not like the original, don’t but this one.

As with the first game, the storyline itself isn’t even half the game.  Most of your time will be sent exploring and working jobs to make more money and even having a wife and children.  You can play as either a male or female character and marry either a male or female.  Same sex marriages are allowed.  You even choose whether or not you will be having unprotected sex.  Bare in mind though, if you don’t have a condom, you may end up with kids or an STD.  Let this be a lesson to all the kiddies out there…

So far, I have spent most of my time wandering around.  Trying to find Demon Gates and Gargoyles.  Killing whatever I can and buying properties.  It’s a great way to relax.

Discovered some new music today.  I’m a big fan of Litttle Brother.  One of the members, Phonte has a couple side projects that are great.  One of these, created an album of 80’s remakes that are great.  These are legit remakes, so they sound like the originals, just a bit more up to date.  Here’s a remake of Africa by Toto that is awesome.
