I am excited for the weekend. I mean E X C I T E D, EXCITED. First off, it is my wife’s birthday and we are going to my favorite restaurant. They have THE BEST Italian food around. Yum. I will probably get a amount of wine in me after we get home and then I am going to watch Sarah Palin on SNL. I have been expecting this for quite some time, so to see that it was actually going to happen made my day. I really have no idea what to expect. Will there be a TIna Fey vs Sarah Palin “battle”. Who knows, but I’ll be watching.
Today I received my XBox 360 back in the mail. Well, not “my” XBox, but a replacement one. This is my 3rd. I have been an ardent Microsoft supporter for years and years, but after 3 XBox’s and 3 XBox 360’s, I will have to think twice about buying the next model. They need to fix the bugs these boxes have had. Overheating should have been something caught in a test lab.
They are limited to only 2323 and I have been waiting several months for mine. The original sets went to athletes and stars of all sorts, but now I have my pair. The jeans are stiff as a board right now, but by the time the weather is cool enough for me to rock them, the 23/501’s will be well washed and broken in. Until then, they are sitting in their special box in my closet, among all the other shoes. Sneakers are an addiction. At least a few times a week, I wake up and pick my outfit based on the shoe I want to wear. The Moses Malone, patent red leather Air Force 1’s with yellow laces….. my white with green and yellow LeBron Sprites… dope dope dope.
So I am finding time to write tonight for a sad reason. Well, there is nothing on TV right now, so we’re watcing iCarly with my 7 year old. It’s not that the show is horrible, BUT it’s Mommy and Daddy time. Daddy’s already mixed himself a nice drink he concocted. Cran-Strawberry juice, Citron and some Key West lemon juice. Mix them together and you have what looks and tastes like pink lemonade. Now, I’ll be the first to admit that it’s a bit of a foo foo drink, but after my birthday party a few weeks back, I need to stay away from my favorite, Patron, for a little while. We drank a fifth in less than 30 minutes. After bragging to my wife about how the stuff never makes me sick, I spent 16 hours the following day puking and napping. I did catch the Euro Cup final though, so that was at least a bit of a positive.
